David McInness is doing his bit to keep the safari suit alive.
‘David’s obsession with the slightly unusual attire began a few years ago when he went to a 70s themed Christmas party. “I was at the op shop, found a cream safari suit and wore it to the party,” David recalls, “I liked it so much, I said to everyone ‘I’m going to fly home in this’ and no one believed me.”
The next day he did exactly that. Unfortunately, his choice of clothing seemed to lead to no one speaking to him the whole way home. He remembers that even in the slightly elite Qantas Club, where he was surrounded by suits (albeit of a different kind), he did not get any response.’
